Stay in Touch With All Your Networks with 8Hands.com or Flock.com
Have you ever wondered how to keep track of all your social networks and social media sites? Well have talking to a few avid bloggers and doing a little research I have found two major roll players. These include 8Hands.com and Flock.com. There is also a new player trying to keep up called Digsby.com. These sites let you go about your daily business without ever actually visiting sites like Facebook. All you have to do is download a simple software file for your desktop.
Why do you need this? With the growing number of social network users and social network sites it is hard to keep tabs on everything on your own. Not only that you want to stay informed on what your potential customers maybe looking for on the web. Meeting their interest and needs is a huge competitive advantage.
What do both of these sites do? Both are sites that give you downloadable software that is similar to an RSS for a blog, but only it is for your social networks. You get to see what your friends are updating in real time along with any new event posted. This keeps you informed about the community and what is going on all around you.
Who should use it? YOU and YOUR BUSINESS! With the growing number of social network users you would be foolish not to engage with these potential customers on sites like Facebook. These sites allow you to learn about the customer’s taste and you have an easy way to get in touch with them about a promotion.
How do you get it? Both sites are downloadable applications that take a matter of a few minutes to download. Flock is only accessible through a Firefox browser. 8Hands appeared to work for any browser or operating system. Digsby happens to be a little behind compared to either of the two mentioned in the previous sentence. However, they seem to be emerging. By the way all of these downloads are absolutely free to help make your life easier.
As busy as you maybe, nothing will make it easier than using tools that will help simplify your life. One of my favorite quotes from Aristotle reminded me of using these sites, “It is simplicity that makes the uneducated more effective than the educated when addressing popular audiences.” It is a rather interesting argument that the web itself has somewhat upheld this quote as time has progressed. Using tools to simplify help you save time and money. Simplicity is the key to not going crazy and making a pretty penny. Look at Apple and the Macintosh!
If you have more questions on how to do this or want help in social marketing please let me know. Or if you have anything else to add please comment or email me. Thanks for your help!
