As most of you know I was at the SOBCON in Chicago this weekend and had the opportunity to meet some of the most influential bloggers and Internet gurus from across the globe. It was an amazing time and one of the opportunities I had was to meet the founder of Utterz, Simeon Margolis. He was a complete gentleman and a great guy to meet.

Utterz was founded on an idea to meet the needs of people that want to be “Herd.” The site allows you to use audio, video, text, and pictures to express yourself all from your cell phone. It is Twitter on steroids is what I have noticed after a few trial runs. Many people use this feature to discuss topics ranging from traffic reports to minute-by-minute descriptions of the Cubs game. The other neat feature about Utterz is that even if you do Tweet you can post your comment to Utterz and they will direct it to your Tweet Feed. Twitter isn’t the only place you can automate your updates, but you can update Flickr, YouTube, your blog, and many more sites… If you haven’t checked this site out YOU NEED TO!
